Fruit

Dear Treehouse Kids and families!

Have you been to the grocery store recently? If so, you have probably seen all the summer fruit! What is your favorite fruit? I love strawberries! Even when I was a little girl, I loved strawberries and even grew some in a garden! Strawberries are so yummy when they are bright red, fresh and ripe! But if you keep them in the fridge too long, they begin to get dark, rotten, and grow mold. Then they don't look so yummy, do they? And they end up in the trash.

Jesus talks about fruit in Matthew 7:17-20, lets read it! "A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions."

Remember the strawberries we talked about? When people see you and the way you act, do they see fresh yummy strawberries or rotten strawberries in your life? If you have believed on Jesus as Savior, you are a tree that produces good fruit, and people should see it! If you have never believed on Jesus as your Savior, you are still a tree that produces rotten fruit. Look at your actions, consider what kind of fruit you are producing? Is it good fruit or bad fruit? If it is good fruit, you can thank God and ask Him to help you continue to serve Him! If your fruit is rotten, you need to admit your sin to God and ask Him to be your Savior! You will then be a tree that produces good fruit!

I hope when we see each other again, we can share all the amazing things God has done in our lives! We love and Miss you in Treehouse Kids! Check out our Treehouse Kids YouTube for lots of great videos just for you!
