God Comforts!

Christians are not immune to trials and tribulations. You are here to share Jesus with the people around you, and your experiences play a crucial role in how you connect with the people in your life. Think of someone that you can help just by being there and showing empathy for them in their time of need.

Recently I received this account from a sister in our church:

This has been a cleansing season in many ways for me. COVID brought the temporary closing of my business, and during it, the death of my dad in California, which COVID delayed us being able to do his service there for many months. I'm walking through grief counseling while being back open for business, and God has been working in my life in every area it seems. I want Him to keep cleansing my temple since He is my Savior and Lord of my life. He's working through all of the hard things that have happened to me, through grief counseling, through being in the Word daily, through journaling, and surprisingly He's using me to talk to and encourage others even as I'm in the midst of walking through some of the hardest emotions ever.

II Corinthians 1:3-4 says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

If you are going through something, be encouraged that God is your comforter, and know that you can encourage someone through their trails if you allow the Holy Spirit to work through you.
