If you have ever driven through Chick-fil-a, you’ve probably noticed that often, they will have their employees stand outside to take your order. You don’t have to go inside to get your food – they will talk with you, answer any questions you may have, and send your order through to be picked up at the window. They’ll even take your payment! This is a great example of people pairing up with technology to provide a service that you can partake of with convenience and ease.
I’m so grateful for the technology and different online platforms at Grace Church that enables the Word to go out to you and so many others! If you can’t be here in person for a Sunday or Wednesday service, there are many ways those messages are available for you to see or listen to, either live or archived. I’m amazed at the gifting of our Media and Technical Staff and volunteers. They are constantly working on updating and improving the methods and equipment needed to send these messages out. They have done a great job at ensuring that the quality of what you see and hear from our online streaming is the best that it can be and that it’s easy to access.
Another area that is constantly growing and reaching new people is Radio by Grace. The Lord is blessing this ministry beyond what I ever could have imagined. The Word is being shared 24/7. The Board and Staff of RBG are growing and working together to direct this ministry the way they see God leading. I am constantly blown away at how God has chosen to allow us at Grace Church to facilitate this nationwide network of radio stations - all for His glory! I get so many letters and emails from people who have been ministered to by Radio, and I thank God every time He leads someone to share how the Word spoke to them via Radio!
I hope that YOU are growing and changing as you follow God’s leading and as He works in your heart. I would love to hear what He is showing you, where He is taking you – you can reply to this email if you would like to do so.
Remember that the Lord Jesus is faithful, and His love for us never wavers. When circumstances change, He leads us in new ways of doing things. At Grace, our mission of “Making disciples verse by verse” remains solid. He is the reason for everything we do. As we’ve walked through the past year and a half, with all of the struggles that have arisen due to Covid, and learning to adjust how we do things – I’m very grateful for the ways Grace Church has adapted to different ways of sharing the Word with the body of Christ.
John 13:35 says, “Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” It all comes back to God’s love. He loves YOU, and He has put you here, very purposefully, for this time. YOU have something valuable to offer those around you. Remember to be the hands and feet of Jesus today – at home, at work, at Chick-fil-A…and everywhere in-between.
Thank you for being part of what God is doing at Grace Church!
I feel so blessed to be your pastor.
