Lamp to My Feet
Dear Treehouse Kids and families,
Have you ever played hide-n-seek in the dark? If you play with flashlights, that can be a lot of fun! When I was a kid, I used to play Cops and Robbers outside with some of my friends, it’s a lot like hide-n-seek. We would hide and use flashlights to look for each other! It was so much fun! The flashlights helped us see where we were going, and it kept us safe! The flashlight also made the game a lot more fun! Even though it was dark, the small flashlight lit up a whole area! We weren’t scared because we had light to see!
God’s Word talks about having a light so that we can see the way! Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
We all need to see the path or direction we are going in our lives. The only way we can understand God’s ways and know the truth is by reading God’s Word, it is our flashlight for life! God’s Word is the light that shows us the path to take, it lights the way in our lives. It is the flashlight to our feet and light to our path!
If today you don’t feel like you know what God wants you to do about a certain problem, go to His Word! His Word will light your path and give you the wisdom you need to go the right way!
This week: Memorize Psalm 119:105 and check out the Song that goes with the verse on our website!
