Let the Children Come
Dear Grace Kids and Parents,
Charles Spurgeon, a 19th Century Pastor, once said of children, “A child of five, if properly instructed, can, as truly believe, and be regenerated as an adult.” Let’s consider the life of a child who has by faith believed in Jesus as Savior. This child, if continually and faithfully taught the things of the Lord, may have 50, 60, 70 or more years to live in service to the King! We must not miss that truth that Jesus called the children, then held them and blessed them. Jesus says in Matthew 19:14-15, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” And he laid his hands on them and went away.
Jesus says clearly that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to children! Be careful that you do not wait to teach your children the truth found in God’s Word! Spend time reading the New Testament, singing worship to the Savior, and praying together! You do not need to be a pastor to teach your children. Start small and learn together from the Lord. The Holy Spirit will help you!
This week read together, starting with the life of Christ in the Gospel of John. Discover…Who is this Savior that we serve? He is accessible even to the youngest of hearts.
We hope to see you all again very soon! Watch for new lessons and stories on our YouTube Channel!
