The past week has been fantastic! You/we had the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with Amarillo and beyond!
On Wednesday evening, our building came to life for the Grace Church Fall Festival! It was the kind of life we needed post-COVID! Many people from our Church and the community enjoyed food, played games, and simply enjoyed themselves! I was blown away by the whole experience, and I hope you were able to be here. If so, let me know what your favorite part of the evening was!
On Sunday, we hosted John James - he was the original lead singer and co-founder of the globally renowned band "The Newsboys!" He and his wife, Tanya, shared their testimonies. It's incredible to hear how someone who seemingly "had it all" was missing something essential—an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Yes, he knew Jesus. He was doing work for Jesus! But he wasn't taking the time to read His Word. He wasn't stopping to have devotional time with Him. It took significant loss for this highly acclaimed Christian artist to turn his life completely over to his Savior. If you missed the service, be sure to LISTEN NOW!
I know people were touched by John James' message, but this text I received from John after his time at Grace on Sunday is the sovereignty of God:
G'day, mate! Welcome to an awesome Monday. Again thank you for the privilege to serve you and your awesome church family. Tanya and I are so thankful for our new friendship and greatly value this, my friend. I wanna give you a wonderful praise report. I had a minister friend of mine reach out to me yesterday who was so excited, his brother, who is in prison, heard your radio telecast yesterday, and God really used the service and testimony to powerfully speak to his heart and life. Praise God for radio ministry! He is able to reach lives wherever they are! Bless you, my friend. Have a wonderful day!
You may not be able to be a foreign missionary, but you are a part of a church that is determined to make sure that the Word of God and His Gospel message reach people in-person, online, and over the airwaves. Please continue to pray for your Church. You can share sermon links online, or tell people about the radio station. Volunteer. Say hello. Smile. Sharing the LOVE OF JESUS isn't complicated. It only requires that you be willing to allow Him to use you wherever you are!
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." -Galatians 2:20
P.S. Don't forget to share with me your favorite part of the Grace Church Fall Festival!
