I hope you have been having a good week.
I don't know about you, but I tend to sometimes get caught in this mentality of "doing enough." I start running circles trying to be sure I am doing enough for God. Making sure He doesn't look down and catch me idle. And honestly, I quickly cross this mental line, which turns into "doing good enough." I'm doing a lot for God, but am I doing enough good enough to please and appease Him.đ± It makes my head spin.
This mentality, for me, is so detrimental to the heart đ. I become so "task-oriented" that I cease to be "God's love-oriented" with what I do. I begin to rob Him by ensuring my work is seen rather than making sure my God is seen.
Matthew 5:17-20 talks about this vain attempt to achieve righteousness through works. It IS NOT possible. The only one righteous by works is Jesus. We simply need to seek Him and accept what He has fulfilledđ đ
