Welcome to 2021!

Well, here we are. It's 2021! What can I tell you to start your new year with Grace Church? Two things READ and PRAY!

READ... Reading your Bible has to be the most important thing you can do in 2021. It relates to every part of your life. Where to start? Start at the beginning. Start in the New testament, Start in the book of John. It doesn't matter, START! Yes, we are a couple of days into the new year. Don't let that keep you from reading today. Find a reading plan, Bible app, or reading Bible at graceamarillo.com/read-the-word. How will you be reading the Bible this year (or month or week)? I'd love to hear your plan or ideas.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

PRAY... Take time daily to pray. How do you pray? Just talk to God. Thank Him for who he is and what he has done for you. Ask him to forgive you for your failures and to protect you from evil. Make requests for things you need and even things you want. Tell him how you feel. There isn't a wrong way to talk to God, but make time to be alone with God in prayer.

"But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matthew 6:6

...and beyond that private time with God, pray all the time!

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." I Thessalonians 5:16-18

I pray that no matter what is happening in 2021 that you are surrounding your life with the Word of God and Prayer.
