Worship With Your Life!

1 Peter 3:15-16 NLT

"Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ."

When I read this verse, I am automatically transported to a normal day-to-day scene in my life, the kind where I am just going about my day.

I am walking along, worshiping the Lord with my life, nothing big or flashy. But isn't it consistency that actually gets people's attention? Anyway…

Suddenly, someone stops me and says, "Hey, why are you so different? Why are you always in a good mood even when things are going wrong in your life?"

My first thought is, Wow! It is noticeable! As if I should be surprised!? If I am living the good life that Peter describes, the world should see in me and in every believer the hope that is found in Jesus!

Ok. So, this is my opportunity to share the truth about Jesus and the hope that I have found in Him! Am I prepared to share? (Ask yourself the same question. Are you prepared? If you aren't sure, check out the link below!)

As believers, we should always be ready to explain the good news! I will share this good news in a gentle and respectful way. I know it is the Holy Spirit who does the work in the heart of the person. The same way He did the work in my own heart.

Be encouraged today, friend! You belong to Christ! Let's worship the Lord with our lives and watch Him use us to bring the lost and hurting world to the saving knowledge of Christ and the hope that is found only in Him!
