Pack up your lawn chairs and picnic blankets as we prepare to take church to Sam Houston Park for Church in the Park on September 24th at 10 am!
At Church in the Park, you can join us for worship, a message from Pastor Bill, and baptisms! A free hot dog meal will be provided for lunch along with Kona Ice sno cones which will be offering their tasty frozen treats at a special "Church in the Park" price!
But the fun doesn't stop there! Church in the Park will also be hosting Grace Church's greatest competitive event of the year... DODGE BALL!
​Following our Church in the Park service, we will be hosting a dodgeball tournament on Sam Houston’s basketball courts! There will be two separate brackets for Youth & Adult ages, with 8 teams in each bracket. Each team must have 6 players with at least 2 of those players in the opposite gender. So for example, If you have a team of 4 bro's you MUST then recruit 2 gal's to complete your team of 6. But let's say you naturally recruit 3 bros and 3 gals, in that case, there is no need to adjust because you meet the "at least 2 of the opposite gender" rule. Any team that does not meet this requirement will NOT be considered as an official dodgeball team until the requirement is met.
If you are signing up as a team only one team member needs to sign their team up in this registration form. Every other team member must sign our online waiver release form. This will be sent in the confirmation email you receive after signing your team up.
Don't have a team? No worries, you can still sign up as an individual player and meet your team on the day of the tournament.
The members of the winning teams from each bracket will receive a $50 prize bundle. Then, the winner of the Youth and adult brackets will play each other in one last game for the championship!
